About Phoebe

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to enjoy my art.

My name is Phoebe. I’m a Southern California based artist. My style is shaped by a childhood watching the romance of 101 Dalmation’s, over the top flair of Auntie Mame, and swagger of The Pink Panther cartoons (and movies). I love all things enchanting, charming, and thoughtful. My current focus is on teaching events, collaborating in community spaces, and lino cut print making. I also enjoy watercolor and illustrations. Simply put, I like to create pretty things and everyone deserves pretty things!

I’m inspired by nature and this influences my values as an art maker. I try my best to reuse materials I have. I shop small and local when possible — I really enjoy going to Art Supply Warehouse, an art store that’s been around since 1977 in Westminster. You can find my art in small business places like Plantiitas in Long Beach and Create Cafe in San Clemente (where I also teach classes). I’d love to expand consignment locations! Like all people, I’m not perfect. I do my best with the resources I have, as we all do!

During teaching events it is my intention to inspire others to try something new with a compassionate outlook. It's not about perfection, it's about being present. I encourage others to open their perspectives. Embrace failure, embrace something you’re scared of. My values and mindset have been shaped by the opportunities to explore who I am using art as the mechanism. I hope to provide that for others.

I believe in alternative markets and I’m open to being creative together. Maybe you have a set budget or maybe you want to trade something. I can offer sliding scale options as well. I like to say - let’s make up the rules together. Everyone deserves pretty things!
